Earlier this year at Commercial UAV Expo Europe, we spoke to James Harrison, co-founder and CEO of Sky-Futures. Sky-Futures provides software, sensor and technology solutions for the drone-based industrial inspection market. Their software gives an oversight of the entire drone-based operations and inspection life-cycle and is being used today by clients looking to harness the power of drone-driven data collection and analysis.
From time-based inspections to predictive maintenance
James Harrison shares his view about the way inspection and maintenance will be conducted in future: “By taking a huge amount of visual data and having that structured in data bases, we can move from time-based or risk-based inspections, all the way through to predictive maintenance; focusing on the efficiency of assets by minding the historical data sets, measuring problems and predicting them for the future.”
