RAI Amsterdam websites
Applicability
These terms of use apply to all websites of RAI Amsterdam B.V., which has its registered office and place of business at Europaplein 24, Amsterdam, the Netherlands (below: ‘RAI Amsterdam’). Each visit to RAI Amsterdam’s websites (referred to below individually as a ‘Website’ and together as the ‘Websites’) is subject to these terms of use. By visiting a Website, you tacitly and unconditionally agree to the applicability of these terms of use (below: the ‘Terms of Use’). RAI Amsterdam may change these Terms of Use at any time, in which case the changed Terms of Use will be valid from the moment they are published. You can find the publication date of the latest version of the Terms of Use at the bottom of this page.
Disclaimer
Despite the constant care and attention which RAI Amsterdam devotes to the composition of the Websites, it is possible that information published on a Website is not complete, correct or up to date. The information provided on or through the Websites is liable to change, and changes may be made at any time with immediate effect and without notice. RAI Amsterdam does not warrant that the Websites will be available without interruption at all times. RAI Amsterdam reserves the right to optimise or modify the technical characteristics and accessibility of the Websites without notice.
RAI Amsterdam disclaims all liability for any direct or indirect loss or damage of any nature whatever resulting from or in any way connected with the use of the Websites, the use of information obtained by accessing the Websites or the temporary impossibility of consulting the Websites.
Access to and use of the Websites
You are entitled to use our Websites for business or private purposes. Commercial use of the Websites (for example, using them or parts of them to generate advertising revenue) is prohibited. When visiting and using our Websites, you are bound to observe the following terms and rules:
- you must not infringe the rights, in particular the intellectual property rights, of RAI Amsterdam or third parties;
- you must not interfere with the normal operation of our Websites;
- you must not disseminate spam, viruses, malware or other inappropriate messages or information through our Websites;
- you must not circumvent or interfere with the security of our Websites;
- you must not use any means such as robots or spiders to search or index our Websites or parts of them. Search engines must comply with the robot.txt protocol.
Where registration is necessary in order to access the Websites of parts of them, the rules regarding ‘Creating an account’ and ‘Rules on posting content’ below apply.
If you fail to comply with one or more of these rules, we reserve the right to refuse you access to our Websites.
Links to other websites
Our Websites contain links to third party websites. This does not mean that RAI Amsterdam recommends these websites or that it agrees with their content or collaborates with them in any way. Nor does RAI Amsterdam make any warranties about the suitability, correctness, completeness or security of these websites. RAI Amsterdam is therefore not responsible for such websites or for the information that may be obtained from using them.
Intellectual property rights
All copyright, database rights and other intellectual property rights in the content and design of the Websites are vested exclusively in RAI Amsterdam and/or its licensors. RAI Amsterdam expressly reserves all rights with regard to its Websites.
Without the prior written consent of RAI Amsterdam, you are not permitted in any way whatever to take over, save, reuse or otherwise reproduce or publish all or part of the Websites of RAI Amsterdam, even if you acknowledge the source.
Making an account
By registering and creating an account on one or more of the Websites, you expressly agree:
- to provide accurate, up-to-date and full information as requested upon registration, and
- to ensure that this information is immediately updated in the event of any changes.
You will receive a confirmatory email from us after registration. Your login details (username and password) are strictly personal. You are not permitted to use the login details for commercial purposes or to allow third parties to use them. If you suspect that your login details have come into the possession of third parties, you are obliged to notify RAI Amsterdam immediately.
RAI Amsterdam has the right at all times to block an account temporarily or permanently, for example if it considers that a user is contravening these Terms of Use.
Rules on posting content
If a Website enables you to post content (for example, by uploading information for a profile or posting a response in the context of an online event), the following rules apply:
- ensure the information is factually correct;
- be polite;
- do not discriminate or cause hurt and do not incite hatred or violence;
- do not post private particulars of third parties;
- do not infringe the rights of third parties, including their intellectual property rights.
RAI Amsterdam disclaims all liability for any content posted by you or third parties. You are personally liable and indemnify RAI Amsterdam and its associated companies against claims of third parties and for related loss or damage, fines and costs connected with the reactions and content you have posted. Taking the above into account, RAI Amsterdam reserves the right to delete, remove or refuse responses without further explanation.
By posting content on a Website, you grant RAI Amsterdam and its associated companies a perpetual and unconditional licence to publish, further publish, reproduce, save or otherwise use this content, or part thereof, in any way whatever and in any form or through any medium. If you are not the rightful owner of the posted content, you must have permission from that owner before posting that content and must the name of the rightful owner if the latter so wishes. When posting or submitting images, you must also have the permission of any person portrayed in them.
Privacy and cookies
The Privacy Statement and Cookie Statement of RAI Amsterdam apply to every use of the Websites and form an integral part of these Terms of Use.
Final provision
Dutch law applies to these Terms of Use and any disputes connected with them or with the use of a RAI Amsterdam account. The appropriate court in Amsterdam has exclusive jurisdiction to hear such disputes.
