The Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA) and the Fraunhofer Center for Maritime Logistics are considering the use of drones to transport containers through the skies over the Port of Hamburg.
Since large drones are already able to carry load of up to two tons, the economic feasibility to use drones will be assessed.
